Server Rules

This page goes over MangoBay's server rules and goes more in depth for some of our rules. 

All Chat rules carry over to our discord server.

Basic Rules

1. Game modifications

   1. Modifications that give the player an advantage are strictly prohibited.

• Examples. X-ray, Fly/Speed, etc...

      • Third party launchers (Badlion, Lunar etc...)

      • Minimaps

      • Optifine

      • Autoclickers used for afk farms 

      • Litematica/ Schematica

      • If you have any questions regarding other modifications please reach out to the staff team on our Discord.

2. Chat Rules

1. Toxicity

• Swearing is allowed but must be kept to a minimum.

• Discrimination of skin color, race, sex/gender, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation of any kind will not be tolerated.

• Derogatory language must not be used directly towards a player.

• Impersonation is not allowed.

2. Advertising/ Links

• Advertising other servers is a no go this includes Discord servers

• Malicious, sexual or extremely violent/disturbing content is not allowed.

• You may send links in the Discord.

3. Spam

   • Messages that use unnecessary repetition of characters, spacing and capital letters is not allowed

     • Theseeeee are s o m e examples of WhAt is not allowed.

   • Similar or same messages must not be sent within a short period of time. 

4. Doxxing

   • Sharing personal information of players without their direct permission is strictly prohibited.

     • This includes but no limited to names, phone numbers, addresses, social media, school/work locations, family, photos, and IP-address.

5. Languages

   • When speaking in our Minecraft or Discord server English is our preferred language. You may private message other players in other languages

6.  Item/ Warp naming

   • All chat rules apply when naming items.

   • Derogatory language or spammy text may not be used when naming an item.

7.  Politics & other sensitive topics

• Do not bring up any topic that would cause an uproar of public drama.

  • Examples: Political stance/views, religion, etc.

3. Alt Accounts

1. Alternative accounts may be used.

   • Alt accounts may not be used to evade the following.

     • Bans

     • Mutes

     • Player claim bans

2. A players alt accounts must not exceed 3 accounts.

4. Grief and Theft

1. Griefing and Theft is not tolerated unless under the following circumstances. 

   • The build looks abandoned.

   • You have obtained the players permission.

   • The player hasn't been active for 2 months.

   • If you have any questions regarding Griefing and Theft please contact the staff team.

5. Exploits 

1. Taking advantage of server/ game bugs is not allowed.

• Duplicate Items

• Duplicate entities

  • TNT Duplicators and Bedrock breaking is allowed!

2. Game Manipulation such as RNG manipulation, Chunk Loading, Item Shadowing Etc are not allowed.

6. Lag/ Doxxing 

1. Attempts to cause malicious harm to our services though such means as DDOS, DOS are not allowed.

2. Purposely lagging our server using lag machines are not allowed.

• Please use resource intensive blocks such as hoppers and redstone components carefully.

7. Building Rules

1. Building Constriction

   • Builds that can be considered racist, sexually explicit or hate speech/ symbols is not allowed.

2. Claim blocking

• Claim blocking is the act of claiming near someone's build to deliberately block expansion.

3. Redstone Farms

• All farms must have an on/off switch. 

• A farm must not show signs in a drop of server performance. This relates back to 6.2.

8. Common Sense

1. Use common sense, Follow staff instructions. If a staff member says something treat is as if it is a rule.
